Mayor urges support for troops

The Mayor of Douglas Cllr Ritchie McNicoll has made a plea to the whole island to attend the upcoming freedom of the borough ceremony.
The honour will be bestowed on the 12 Regiment Royal Artilliery later this month at a ceremony in Douglas, the Regiment has a number of Manx men currently serving within it.
The Mayor is hoping the island will turn out in vast numbers to show their support.
