The headteacher of St Mary's Roman Catholic Primary School retires at the end of the week.
Brian Blair is one of the longest serving headteachers on Island, having spent 17 years at the Douglas school.
Mr Blair plans to go on holiday before spending time working on his garden.
He says he will miss everyone connected with the school.
