Bowl refurbishment will go ahead

Nearly £3million is to be spent on refurbishing the Bowl in time for the Commonwealth Youth Games.

The Douglas facility is to be made into a national stadium.

It'll host the opening ceremony when the Island hosts the games next year.

The Government will take over responsibilty for the ground from Douglas Council for the nominal fee of £1.

Tynwald approved the decision at the current sitting.
