Multiple charges over irregular church finances

Maughold Church
A man's been charged with 18 offences following an investigation into the finances of Maughold Burial Authority.
The 55 year old faces 10 counts of false accounting and 8 of theft.
The investigation also looked at the Diocese of Sodor and Man and Maughold Parochial Church Council.
Police have not named the man, but it is understood to be the parish vicar for Maughold.
He has been bailed to appear before the Deputy High Bailiff's Court on August 3rd.
