We won't tolerate abuse says Ramsey Commissioners

Ramsey Town Commissioners say that they will not tolerate verbal abuse towards its staff.

It follows an incident yesterday morning when a refuse wagon worker was confronted by a member of the public.

In a statement, Ramsey Commissioners said on their Facebook page: ‘We have an obligation to collect refuse and we do our utmost not to inconvenience residents while undertaking this operation, however there are some locations where it is impossible to provide collections without causing some disruption to traffic.

‘Our routes are fixed so the times we get to areas tend to be the same week on week. So we ask for understanding and co-operation from residents on collection days while we work.
