Post-results day support from Samaritans

A charity is urging students on the Island to "put wellbeing ahead of grades" and ask for help if they are struggling.

The Samaritans are offering support for anyone who may be anxious or those who do not get the results they were hoping for.

The wait for exam results often causes anxiety in young people and their parents, but the weeks that follow can be just as stressful.

Manx students received their A-level grades on Thursday and GCSE students will find out their marks next Thursday.

Isle of Man Samaritans is advising anyone feeling under pressure to speak to someone they trust, or call its service for confidential, non-judgmental support.

Samaritans offer confidential judgement-free advice 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The number is 116 123 and it is free to call. Alternatively, you can email jo@samaritans.org.
