Mark Cavendish named in UEC European Road Championships Squad

Mark Cavendish has been selected to represent the Great Britain Cycling Team at the UEC European Road Championships in the Netherlands this month.

The Manx cyclist joins Tour de Yorkshire winner Chris Lawless in the elite men’s squad, with Alex Dowsett, Luke Rowe, Dan McLay, Adam Blythe, Connor Swift and Gabz Cullaigh also being selected. National champion Dowsett will be Britain’s representative in the elite men’s time trial.

The championships will take place in Alkmaar between August 7 and 11, with a strong Great Britain team taking to the road before the eyes of the cycling world descend on Yorkshire next month.
