Work to be carried out on hole in Douglas road

Work begins tomorrow to repair a mystery hole that’s appeared in a road in Douglas.

A large hole in the surface has developed at the southern end of Castlemona Avenue over the weekend.

The Department of Infrastructure is to investigate the cause and repair it.

Works are expected to last for up to a week.

It’ll be carried out between 9am and 4.30pm daily.

Parking in the immediate area will be suspended until the work is complete.
