Douglas Prom Shuttle Bus branded 'pointless'
A new shuttle bus service running along Douglas Promenade has been branded 'pointless' by some residents and businesses.
The shuttle service began operation on Tuesday and runs daily between the Sea Terminal and the old Summerland site.
Many people have argued that buses already serve the promenade every 15 minutes in both directions.
The promenade is currently down to one lane each way during narrow sections which causes traffic to build up when public buses stop to allow passengers to alight.
MyProm says the free shuttle will allow users to be dropped off at request locations but will pick up at usual stops.
