Police Confirm Man Dead At Scene - Back Marina Road Incident
Police have now confirmed the man found ‘unresponsive’ near to the Sefton Hotel was pronounced dead at the scene.
The area on Back Marina Road was sealed off at around 7pm this evening (Monday).
An investigation is underway and Police have warned users of social media not to post speculation as this could impact their investigations.
The road behind the Sefton Hotel and Gaiety Theatre (Back Marina Road) remains closed this evening but other roads are now open (2350).
Police are expected to make an appeal for information in the morning and will be issuing a dedicated telephone number. However if anyone has any urgent information they should ring Police HQ on 631212.
