First new horse tram tracks laid on Douglas promenade

The first of the new horse tram tracks have been laid on Douglas Promenade.

The £20m revamp began last September and will take three years to complete.

A section of the track has been put down at the terminal at Strathallan.

They will link to the Broadway junction as the work continues.

The horse trams are due to start running again in four weeks.
