Service to remember RNLI founder

A commerative service to honour the founder of the RNLI will be held on the Island tomorrow.

The service to remember Sir William Hillary will take place at St George's Church in Douglas at 3pm.

The Archdeacon of Man, the Venerable Andrew Brown will conduct the service.

Deputy Governor, His Honour the First Deemster Andrew Corlett, will lay a wreath on the tomb of Sir William & Lady Hillary in St George’s Churchyard after the Service.

The RNLI will be represented at the Service by its Chief Executive, Vice Admiral Paul Bosier CB MA MSc.

Light refreshments will be served afterwards in the South Douglas Old Friends Association premises in Finch Road.
