10 year olds have consumed 18 years' worth of sugar

Experts are asking parents on the Island to change the brands of yoghurts, drinks and cereals they buy as part of a new campaign to cut the amount of sugar children consume.

A study's discovered kids, on average, have eaten 18 years' worth by the time they reach their 10th birthday.

Families are encouraged to look for the Change4Life ‘Good Choice’ badge in shops, download the free Food Scanner app or search Change4Life to help them find lower sugar options.
