Douglas RNLI go to aid of fishing boat with engine failure

Douglas Lifeboat was called to go to the aid of a stricken fishing boat this morning.

The vessel, with two people on board, was four miles east of Douglas when it suffered engine failure at around 10am.

The cause was overheating due to a blocked coolant inlet.

Douglas Lifeboat located the fishing boat using radar and towed the vessel back to Douglas.
