Lintin to leave Merseyside hospital after Southern 100 crash

Ivan Lintin is preparing to leave a Merseyside hospital almost six weeks after his crash at the Southern 100.

The Dafabet Devitt Racing rider confirmed on Twitter this morning that he'll be moved to Lincoln so he's nearer his family.

Lintin was flown to Liverpool following the four-rider collision on the Billown Course in July in a critical condition, and has since had surgery on a broken leg and treatment for a head injury.

The two-time TT race winner added that he'll get to see home after one last time in a hospital ward, and that it feels very strange to be fully awake.
