Marine laboratory sold to developers
The Department of Infrastructure has sold the former marine laboratory in Port Erin for £500,000.
The property has been bought by Delgatie Limited, which intends to replace the building with a development including residential, retail and commercial facilities.
The proposed new development will also include visitor accommodation and an exhibition space.
The site hasn't been used since Liverpool University left the building in 2006, while a fire caused extensive damage in 2016.
