Coastguard tackles diesel spill

A coastguard team in the south of the Island helped contained a diesel spill.

Port Erin Coastguard were called out after the spill was spotted in Port St Mary harbour yesterday evening.

The crews deployed an absorbent boom to remove the majority of the spillage.

The coastguard says the rest of the diesel will disperse without threat to the surrounding area.
