Southern 100 provides update on injured riders

Southern 100 Racing has provided an update on the condition of four riders injured during Thursday's races.

Ivan Lintin has been flown off Island for further examination and has undergone an operation on his leg, but he remains in a critical condition.

Lintin's team, Dafabet Devitt Racing, added that the operation was successful and that they'll provide further updates in due course, while the team's head technician confirmed Lintin's head injuries will be assessed by a neurologist today.

James Coward and Mikey Evans have both been discharged from Noble's Hospital after treatment for injuries sustained in the four-rider collision during the 600cc Challenge race which resulted in the death of James Cowton.

Brian Fruidge came off his bike at Church Bends in a separate incident prior to the Challenge race, and has been flown off Island for further treatment to a jaw injury.
