Ramsey lifeboat tows broken down angling boat to Northern Ireland

Ramsey lifeboat was called out to help tow a stricken angling boat to safety.

The lifeboat launched shortly after midday yesterday to locate the vessel, which had broken down around seven miles south of Burrow Head.

Belfast Coastguard asked the Ramsey crew to tow the vessel towards Donaghadee in Northern Ireland, where the Donaghadee lifeboat took over the tow.

After passing to tow to the Northern Irish vessel, the Ramsey team returned to the Island, and were back at the station at 5.15pm.
