70 police officers involved in money laundering searches

Searches in relation to a money laundering investigation are ongoing in Douglas and the south of the Island.

The Isle of Man Constabulary's Economic Crime Unit executed five search warrants in various locations yesterday.

Around 70 officers, including specialists from the police and Customs and Excise, are involved in the searches, which are expected to continue until this evening at the earliest.

Officers hope members of the public should see no change to other routine day to day policing.
