UCM to host Skills Test competition for construction students

Construction students at the University College Isle of Man will get the chance to show off what they've learnt as part of the annual Skills Test.

The Skills Test will involve those studying from all six of the construction department's specialist areas competing for prizes worth up to £350.

The local construction industry helps UCM devise the test to ensure it is realistic, with local construction businesses also providing the materials for the event.

Representatives from the sector will be in attendance, giving students a chance to impress potential future employers during the competition.

The test is also open to the public, and takes place between 10.30am and 4.30pm on Friday.
