Eight DHSC workers agree to resignation scheme

Eight members of staff employed by the Department of Health and Social have left as part of a scheme aimed at saving money.

The DHSC announced it was looking for employees interested in the Government's Mutually Agreed Resignation Scheme last November.

MARS is aimed at staff at management grades willing to leave their jobs, receiving a month's pay for each completed year of service.

The Department confirmed eight workers had reached an agreement to terminate their employment in the last three months.

The scheme was announced as part of the DHSC's attempts to become financially sustainable.
