Gales cause problems at airport

Gale force winds are causing problems at the Isle of Man Airport today.

Aircraft have been forced to hold overhead as gusts were too strong for flights to land at Ronaldsway.

As a result, a number of flights leaving the Island have been cancelled, including services to Birmingham and Manchester.

The airport is advising anyone travelling today to check the airport's website and contact the airline they're travelling with to see what the flight status is.
