Clare Bettison rejoins DHSC

Douglas East MHK Clare Bettison is returning to the Department of Health and Social Care.

The MHK quit the Department late last year, but was asked to return following the appointment of a new Minister earlier this week.

David Ashford has taken over at the DHSC after Kate Beecroft handed in her resignation last week.

Miss Bettison, who worked as a nurse prior to her election to the House of Keys, says she's honoured to have been asked back to the Department, while Mr Ashford described her as a valuable asset.

Miss Bettison was the second member to resign from the Department in a nine-month period after Rob Callister quit last March.
