Unemployment rises in December

Unemployment rose slightly on the Isle of Man last month, with 335 people out of work at the end of December.

The number is 16 higher than at the end of November, and gives an unemployment rate of 0.8%.

The figure is 244 lower than at the same time last year, and the lowest total for December since 2003.

During the same month, 391 jobs were registered at the Job Centre.
