Paralympic swimming champion to attend Sports Awards
Five-time Paralympic champion Ellie Simmonds will be the guest of honour at this year's Isle of Man Sports Awards.
The swimmer has represented Great Britain at three Paralympic Games, winning a total of eight medals in addition to 13 world titles and 10 European titles.
Nominations for this year's sports awards, which take place in March, closed earlier this week, with 10 prizes to be handed out.
Isle of Man Sport says it's delighted Simmonds will be at the event, describing her as a true inspiration.
Cyclist Mark Cavendish and swimmer Charlotte Atkinson were named Sports Man and Woman of the Year respectively at last year's ceremony.
