Public urged to collect salt before cold weather hits
The Department of Infrastructure is urging Manx residents to collect salt from the civic amenity sites ahead of the cold weather.
A yellow weather warning is in place with snow and ice due to hit the Island between tonight and Sunday.
The DoI has made resident's salt available at amenity sites around the Island so locals can treat paths outside their homes to prevent accidents.
The Western and Southern sites are open until 4pm, while the Northern site shuts at 4.30pm and Eastern closes at 7pm.
