Health Minister to be asked for endoscopy update

The Health Minister will be asked to provide an update on the number of endoscopies taking place at Noble's hospital.

The Department of Health and Social Care moved all endoscopy procedures to the Braddan facility earlier this year in a bid to cut the waiting list.

Douglas North MHK David Ashford wants to know whether all three endoscopy rooms at Noble's are fully operational now that equipment has been moved from Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital.

He's also seeking an update on how many extra procedures are taking place since the service was consolidated in the summer.

Kate Beecroft will reveal the figures on Tuesday.
