MHK seeks update on demand responsive bus trial

An MHK is seeking an update on plans to introduce a new bus service in the north of the Island.

The Department of Infrastructure recently confirmed it will trial a demand responsive bus service in the north.

Ramsey MHK Alex Allinson will ask Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer when the trial will start and how long it will be trialed for when Tynwald sits next week.

Dr Allinson also wants to know whether customer feedback will be included when evaluating the service at the end of the trial.

The dial-a-ride service will replace timetabled services in areas where buses often run below capacity.
