Prison spends almost £300,000 on gas, electricity

Almost £300,000 was spent on electricity and gas at the Isle of Man Prison last year.

During the 2016-17 financial year, heating the Jurby facility cost £142,021.34 in gas.

Electricity usage at the site was £147,359.53 for the same 12-month period.

The figures were revealed in response to a Freedom of Information request.
