Manannan sailings cancelled, more disruption likely

Some of today's sailings have been cancelled or brought forward because of the weather conditions.

The Steam Packet Company confirmed that both of today's Manannan sailings have been cancelled, with gusts reaching severe gale force nine expected later.

The operator is asking those booked to travel in the 10am crossing to Liverpool or the 7.15pm return sailing to Douglas to contact its reservations team on 661661 to make alternative arrangements.

The Steam Packet had already moved the morning sailing to Heysham forward, allowing the Ben-my-Chree to begin its return crossing at 12.30pm instead of 2.15pm.

It's expected that the 8pm Heysham service will be cancelled or disrupted, but there will be a final decision by
