Motorists urged to check cars for defects

More than 20 drivers have been told to fix their cars after being stopped and checked for defects by police.

Members of the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out checks at Braddan Bridge, looking for problems with lights and other faults.

Officers are urging motorists to ensure they check their vehicle before starting a journey for such defects.

Those who had faults were issued with a vehicle defect form, giving them one week to fix the problem to avoid further action.
