New dog byelaws come into force in Ramsey
New byelaws mean dog owners have fewer places to walk their dogs in Ramsey.
The Ramsey Dog Control Byelaws have extended the areas in the town where dogs are prohibited to include the rugby pitch at the Mooragh amenity site and the entire Bunscoill Rhumsaa site.
Previous byelaws already prohibited dogs from Mooragh Park, the BMX track and skate park.
Signs warning those using the area of the new restriction have been put on display.
Those caught breaking the byelaws face a £50 fixed penalty or up to a £1000 fine upon summary conviction.
