Education bosses receive objections to St Thomas's move

18 people have written to the Department of Education and Children to object to plans to move a Douglas primary school to another site.

The Department plans to use extra space at Scoill Vallajeelt to accommodate pupils from St Thomas's Church of England School, which is overcapacity for the next academic year.

In response to a Freedom of Information request, it was revealed five letters of objection have been received by the Department since the move was announced.

Some included multiple signatures including one signed by 15 people, while none supporting the plans have been received.
