One person was taken to hospital after a yacht ran aground between the Isle of Man and Calf of Man.

Peel lifeboat crew were called to the incident on Saturday lunchtime after the 30ft yacht got in to difficulty at Kitterland.

Two of the three crew on board the stricken yacht had been injured in the incident, including one who needed to go to hospital for an x-ray on a jaw injury.

The lifeboat team was able to berth the yacht in the harbour to dry out and assess the damage before returning to the station.
