900 dictionaries to be presented to primary school pupils

Around 900 dictionaries will be presented to primary school pupils on the Isle of Man this year.

The Department of Education and Children has teamed up with the Isle of Man Rotary Club to offer dictionaries to all Year 6 students over the next three years.

The Dictionary 4 Life project will give a dictionary to each 10-year-old on the Island to aid literacy and language development.

The 288-page dictionary includes around 10,000 entries and 20,000 definitions.
