Woman rescued from rocks in Douglas

Douglas Head Road is open again after a woman was rescued from the rocks.

The woman, who had been reported missing earlier in the day, is being treated in hospital for what are thought to be minor injuries to her legs, arms and back.

All three emergency services were called out this afternoon, along with Douglas lifeboat crew and the Coastguard, with area shut for around two hours while rescue took place.

Police have thanked the public for their assistance and concern while the matter was dealt with.
