Young person sought to attend Commonwealth Youth Parliament

The Island's Commonwealth Parliamentary Association is looking for a young person to attend the Commonwealth Youth Parliament in the British Virgin Islands.

The ninth sitting of the Parliament takes place in October, with up to 66 young people from across the Commonwealth attending.

The Association is seeking a person aged 18 to 29 who is confident and articulate with an interest in the Commonwealth.

Applicants need to explain why they would benefit from the trip and how their attendance would benefit the Isle of Man.

The successful applicant will have the chance to experience aspects of parliamentary democracy and follow proceedings with experienced officials.

The deadline for applications is next Friday.
