Civic amenity sites consider standardised opening hours
Opening hours at the Island's four civic amenity sites could be standardised in the future.
Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer confirmed at this week's sitting of the House of Keys that it would be helpful if the facilities had the same opening hours to minimise confusion.
The sites, which are in the north, south, east and west of the Island, are individually funded by local authorities, and the Department of Infrastructure has no power to make changes to opening hours.
However, the boards have been invited to attend a meeting with the DoI's waste group, while informal talks have already taken place.
