Phone boxes converted to defibrillator kiosks

Two telephone boxes in the west of the Island have been converted into defibrillator kiosks.

The phone boxes in Dalby and Patrick Village have been renovated to include a defibrillator, vandal-resistant cabinet and heater to keep the equipment at the right temperature.

The cabinets can be opened with an access code, available by calling 999.

Defibrillators can increase a person's chances of surviving sudden cardiac arrest by 70%.
