Minister to meet with Commissioners over Ramsey Courthouse sale

The Home Affairs Minister will meet with Ramsey Town Commissioners today in a bid to resolve the sale of Ramsey Courthouse.

The building was listed on the open market last month, despite the town's local authority keen to see it kept in public ownership.

The board tabled an offer to buy the Courthouse, which was also used as the town's post office before it closed, but no decision has been made on its future yet.

Bill Malarkey confirmed in this month's sitting of Tynwald that he will be speaking to representatives from the Commissioners today before making his recommendations on the sale to the Treasury.
