Unemployment at lowest level since 2004

Unemployment on the Isle of Man dropped to its lowest level since 2004 in March.

The latest figures from the Government show 507 people were registered unemployed at the end of last month - 67 fewer than in February.

The total is the lowest since December 2004, and the lowest for the month of March for 13 years.

The Job Centre also reported an increase in vacancies listed during March, with 932 vacancies posted last month - more than half of which remain.
