Firefighters tackle gorse fire at West Baldwin

Fire crews from Douglas and Kirk Michael were called out to tackle a gorse fire.

Two fire engines attended the scene at West Baldwin yesterday after a 100m x 50m section a gorse caught fire.

The teams had to use beaters and hoses to extinguish the fire and prevent it spreading further.

It took officers around 30 minutes to make sure the flames were out.
