Patient taxi firm contract can be cut early if quality slips

The new patient taxi transfer provider could have its contract cut early if the quality of its service isn't up to standard.

Health Minister Kate Beecroft confirmed in this month's sitting of Tynwald that her Department's agreement with ComCab Liverpool will include clauses about quality.

The paperwork is still being finalised, and will include provision for early termination of the three-year deal if the company doesn't meet the required standard.

ComCab Liverpool will take over from long-time transfer provider Bridgewater Cars later this month, taking Manx patients with medical appointments in Liverpool from the airport to the hospital.
