Ramsey Courthouse public meeting takes place tonight

Ramsey residents will be able to find out more about plans for the future of Ramsey Courthouse tonight.

Ramsey Town Commissioners have arranged a public requisition meeting following 33 written requests to discuss the planned sale of the building.

The local authority agreed to make a bid for the property earlier this week in a bid to keep the building in public ownership.

MHKs for the town and neighbouring constituencies have all been invited along with the Home Affairs Minister, who isn't expected to attend.

The Government has listed the property for sale on the open market, despite the Commissioners expressing a desire to manage the building.

The meeting takes place in Ramsey Grammar School West building from 7pm.
