Fire in Kirk Michael boiler room

Fire crews were called to a property in Kirk Michael after a fire broke out in the boiler room of a house there.

Three fire engines arrived at Cammall Farm shortly before 10am yesterday.

Firefighters had to use breathing apparatus and thermal image cameras to tackle the fire.

The fire was contained to the boiler room, but officers spent around three hours at the scene damping down and checking for hotspots to ensure the blaze hadn't spread.
