Sailings cancelled after Ben sustains damage

Tonight's sailings have been cancelled after the Ben-my-Chree collided with the passenger ramp while docking in Douglas this evening.

The vessel was coming into Douglas shortly after 6pm when it hit, appearing to cause damage to the ramp and the Ben.

The Steam Packet Company has announced that the 7.45pm crossing to Heysham has been cancelled as a result of damage sustained to the vessel while berthing due to the weather conditions. The return journey at 2.15am tomorrow is also cancelled.

Anyone booked to travel tonight can contact the reservations team on 661661.

Passengers on board at the time of the collision have shared footage of the incident, which can be found on the Energy FM Isle of Man Facebook page.
