Met Office warns of waves hitting roads

The Island's Met Office is warning those using the Island's coastal roads to take care around high tide this afternoon.

Forecasters have issued an amber weather warning and are predicting coastal overtopping, particularly on Douglas promenade, until around 3pm.

The Met Office says waves are likely to hit exposed roads around the coast, while some larger waves could leave debris.

Laxey and Ramsey are also expected to be affected, as well as other locations.
