MP wants to make sure IoM isn't forgotten in Brexit talks

An MP who asked the UK Minister in charge of Brexit to confirm the Isle of Man will be kept in the loop says he doesn't want the Island to be forgotten about.

Dumfries and Galloway member Richard Arkless is part of a select committee tasked with understanding the position of the Crown Dependencies as the UK prepares to withdraw from the European Union.

The SNP member visited the Island last week before putting a question to David Jones in the House of Commons, who confirmed the Island will be involved throughout the process.

Mr Arkless believes the views of the Manx Government and public must be taken into account when Britain negotiates with the EU.

He told MTTV that the assurances will benefit the Island when it holds talks with the UK Government [play audio].
