Man remains in hospital following Douglas assault
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to an assault in Douglas to come forward.
A man remains in hospital following the incident on Empress Drive on Saturday night, having been left with serious facial injuries and head injuries as a result of the incident.
A 32-year-old man from Douglas has been charged with assault and remanded into custody, while a second person who was arrested at the scene has been released with no further proceedings.
However, officers say they are still trying to establish a motive for the assault, and hope those in the area at the time will be able to help.
Police are particularly keen to speak to two males an a female who were at the scene immediately before the assault.
